Lana Dahl has pursued a devoted spiritual life, the study of relationships, health and service since childhood. These led her to many years of leadership in her church, mentors who initiated her training, attending many therapeutic workshops, conferences and specialized courses related to healing relationships and on to holistic health. Her life with God also moved her through many numinous experiences, travel, and a dedication to doing her own “work” which continuously expands her discernment.
A most fulfilling experience in the healing profession took place in a major metropolitan acute care hospital, Hinsdale Hospital, just outside Chicago. For several years she worked as an Assistant Hospital Chaplain. She was voted Employee of the Year by 1600 employees and administrators. She worked with patients, their family, nurses and physicians in meeting the needs of the patients. Her work included working in depth with the terminally ill patients and their family as well as those patients and families who came through the emergency room. She was a public speaker, gave marriage enrichment workshops, counseling with teenagers as well as individual adults, couples and hospital staff as she became known for her compassion and expertise. Given the opportunity of taking a full time 3 month Clinical Pastoral Education training course was among her many educational opportunities during that time.
A move to Seattle and subsequent experiences moved her to become a CranioSacral Therapist. She enrolled at Brenneke School of Massage to become a Licensed Health Care Practitioner. Immediately she began taking CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation classes. She trained intensely with the Upledger Institute.
In addition to all of the classes through the Advanced class, she was privileged to have been able to study directly under Dr. Upledger, D.O., O.M.M., himself, the founder of CranioSacral Therapy. She is so thankful he was the teacher of her Advanced CST class. She thenassisted his SomatoEmotional Release classes. Her training at the Upledger Institute includes continuing to serve through the years as a Teaching Assistant for the CSI, CSII, SER I and SERII classes. She also served as a Preceptor for Advanced CST classes.
She was privileged to serve as a paid therapist at the Upledger Institute for two weeks during an Institute “Intensive” where people come for a intensive treatment at the Upledger Institute Brain and Spinal Cord Treatment Center for treatment 5 full days a week for two weeks.
The direct teaching from Dr. Upledger and the years of her own healing and working with many hundreds of clients through the years allow her to leverage these powerful healing modalities that address the many healing challenges her clients bring to her.
Lana has a BA from Western Washington University. Her bodywork training beyond the Upledger Institute’s CranioSacral therapy and the many modalities taught at Brenneke School include intensive training in the Hawaiian healing arts both on location in Hawaii and Seattle at the Center for Hawaiian Healing Arts.
Her deep connection to God and her life experiences, support the development of innate body wisdom training and understanding that she brings to every session. Her wise, skilled, confident, comforting hands and heart create a place where healing and transformation can occur on all levels.
